Hayley Burnett

Hayley Burnett currently attends the University of Oklahoma as a first year PhD student focused on anaerobic microbial physiology and protein structure. She hopes to pursue a career in clinical laboratory research. She finds joy in scientific and/or medical illustration. Hayley has always enjoyed pursuing and exploring art. Both her father and older sister encouraged her to develop her creativity and craft from an early age. While her preferred medium is colored pencil on paper, she had explored an array of contemporary mediums under the guidance of her Professors at University in her undergrad. Hayley is enthusiastically learning new techniques and styles of art, in hopes of discovering and perfecting her own unique style. She draws her inspiration from her own personal experiences and beliefs, but remains most interested in capturing the complexity of the natural world and species that inhabit it.
